For over 15 years now, myself and other employees at CanvasDezign have worked in the decorative industry bringing innovative new designs to our customers. We didn’t just decide that this was just a good idea to start making artwork for peoples homes like some did, we actually pioneered the concept in the early 90’s.
In the early days, I personally worked at Crown Wallcoverings in Darwen, where we where the first people in the UK designing wallpaper and fabics on early Apple Mac desktops. Back then we were using Photoshop version 3 and colour laser copiers as printers. Then came along HP and revolutionised printing with a wide format printer. Ir was very poor quality, but did the job.
We also used a bespoke piece of design and colour separation software called AVA by AVACADCAM in Macclesfield. Again we were the first people in the Uk if not the globe to be using that software and developing it.
Today we are still using AVA software, more these days for recolouring canvas prints and doing colour separation work. I will not go into details about the colour separation process, but if anyone wants any more information, email me as I have wrote many articles that I would love to share with you.
